WELCOME TO THE WALPER HOTEL
As of April 8, 2021, The Region of Waterloo and all of Ontario will be part of the Provincewide Shutdown for a minimum of 28 days. The Walper Hotel remains open with advanced cleaning and safety protocols, however our gym facility and food & beverage program are currently closed. Please visit our COVID-19 Safety and FAQ pages for full details.
We continue to review and enhance our protocols and procedures and we are confident in the many safety measures in place for both you and our team of dedicated Ambassadors. At a high-level, these procedures include:
Masks are mandatory in all public spaces of the hotel, including the lobby upon your arrival and departure
Physical distancing must be maintained throughout the hotel. Floor markings, front desk dividers and reduced capacities in elevators and public spaces are in place.
Enhanced sanitizing protocols are in effect through the hotel, both in guest rooms and public spaces
Daily health screenings of our team and arriving guests continue
No on-site restaurant service at this time
Our gym is closed, until further direction from the Province.
As always, please contact us if you have questions or we can help in any way.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Ann Marie Faria | General Manager

These rooms aren’t pocket-sized, but they offer the same serene setting as some of our favourite parks. The perfect urban getaway, pocket rooms are positioned in the quietest locations throughout the building with views onto our internal courtyards and lane. Pocket rooms are available with one queen, one king, or two queen beds. This room type includes our accessibility rooms.
These rooms are located along the King and Queen Street sides of The Walper Hotel and are perfect for soaking in the scene starting with unrivaled views of the Kitchener cityscape. Cityside Kings are aptly named as all the rooms in this collection have one amazingly comfortable king bed.
There is never a shortage of fun things to do in Kitchener and Waterloo, and many of the best are just a short walk or drive away. The hotel is walking distance from the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, Centre in the Square, Conrad Centre for the Performing Arts and THEMUSEUM.
